Devlog: how a match runs

Where your match lives, why the server has the final say on every shot, and why bots fill the empty slots.

Each match runs on its own small server near you (APAC for now). Your browser sends what you pressed, and the server runs the same movement and shooting rules your browser does, then tells everyone what happened. That’s why a shot that looked like a hit can still miss: the server decides.

Bots

A match never waits long for a full lobby: after 45 seconds in the queue, bots fill the empty slots. If someone leaves mid-match, a bot takes over their slot. Bots buy, take cover and peek like players do, just not as well.

Hitboxes

Every soldier has the same hitboxes, worked out from position and pose rather than from the model. When you lean, your head and chest move with you, so a peek is a real risk. Characters are cosmetic only.
